January is a notoriously slow month for The LCBO as guys have left overs from the holiday season, and are well, ….guys. They don’t like leaving their basements as they get to hunker down and watch hockey and really are awful at organizing events. The LCBO wanted a way to help the typical lazy premium purchaser to try other products and enjoy them with friends. Enter The Gentlemen’s League Configurator – a microsite created fully in HTML5 (including the animations) that allowed guys to invite their friends over at the push of a single button (did I mention how lazy guys really are when it comes to this sort of thing!). Beautifully crafted in the style of a steam-punk machine, the site custom made invites that auto-populated a list of hors d’oeuvres friends should bring over, suggested premium drinks and even had some gentlemanly entertainment if you felt the need.
